The IDP Breakdown: Week 11 Edition

Every game, every week. Jeff Ratcliffe gives you the IDPs you should start and who you should avoid in all of the Week 10 matchups using analysis based on game film, his weekly IDP projections, and the IDP Points Against table.

Miami @ Buffalo

I mentioned last week that the Bills were likely going to move George Wilson into a committee rotation with Da’Norris Searcy, and that’s exactly what we saw them do against the Patriots. Wilson played 46-of-73 snaps and managed just five total tackles. If you’re a Wilson owner, it’s likely time to cut bait and move on. At best, Wilson is a low-end DB2 option going forward, but I wouldn’t be particularly comfortable with him there. Mario Williams looked very good for a second straight game last week. While this isn’t the best matchup, his stock is trending upward. Nick Barnett has been the only Buffalo linebacker we have been able to trust on a consistent basis this season, but he’s struggled recently and has only topped six total tackles once in his last five games. Barnett has dipped to the bottom end of the LB2 tier, and you’re better off not relying on him as anything more than an LB3.

Cameron Wake failed to record a sack for the first time in his last six games in Week 10. I’m not worried one bit. Wake is still a dominant pass rusher, and he’ll be just fine. Earlier in the season, the Bills were one of the toughest matchups for opposing pass rushers, but a rash of injuries on the offensive line has shifted them into more of a middle of the road matchup. In their last four games, the Bills have yielded eight sacks to outside pass rushers, so keep Wake in your lineups. You’re also keeping Nolan Carroll in your lineups. Sure, he had a down game last week, but the Bills give up the fourth-most fantasy points to CBs this season. Carroll rebounds this week.
