Top Week 1 FanDuel CFB plays (Thursday)

Cash games are the bread and butter of a healthy daily fantasy sports diet. While playing meaty guaranteed prize pools is fun, one will never grow into a DFS stud without routinely winning head-to-head and 50/50 matchups. Sometimes, a person just needs to eat some carbs and dairy.

I just made myself hungry. [Returns 30 minutes later with breadcrumbs in beard.] Much better.

Given the importance of cash games, this weekly FanDuel column will focus on optimal cash game lineups and conclude with some recommended GPP plays—because protein is also good.

This column covers the opening slate of games on Thursday, Sep. 3rd. The early and late slate of games for Saturday, Sep. 5th, will be covered in another, special column later this week.

Mannnnnn… I hope you all’s NFL advice is more keen; because this insight was jacked-up.

Fair enough. What I will say is that the beginning of the football season is so hard to predict, because injury repeating is almost non-existent, game plans are seen for the first time (no preseason like in the NFL), and also players can be pulled in blowouts and/or unofficially suspended/benched for half a game without the coach saying in advance what he plans to do. Look at it this way. For the first week of the college football season, most of the information you work with is about 6 months old. Next week, we’ll have all the data from this week to use. That will change things. And, it’s hard to point out the one bright spot, but that Elijhaa Penny call was pretty good. Almost no one was on him.
