Target Dez and Delanie now in trade offers

“We’re in a real pickle Dick.”

That might be the only memorable line from the utterly forgettable movie Fun with Dick and Jane, but it perfectly captured the state of one of my fantasy teams this week. I’m in a 20-team standard league comprised of other fantasy writers and my team is built for a big playoff run. The only problem is, I have to make the playoffs. My strategy of drafting LeVeon Bell, Arian Foster and Breshad Perriman sounded great on draft day, but I’m currently 1-3 and in need of a serious run if I’m going to make the top eight. With my quarterback Ryan Tannehill on bye this week and no other starting passers available, I needed to look at trade options.

That’s where my league mate swooped in and made a perfect offer: my Bishop Sankey for his Brandon Weeden. He knew exactly what I needed and asked a high enough yet fair price that I had to consider. Sankey might be the worst starting running back in the league but in a 20-teamer, he still has value as a flex or bye week RB2. I really didn’t want to reduce my running back depth for a QB that was mostly a one-week filler for me and won’t even be a starter in six weeks. Complicating matters further was the fact that I was already favored in my matchup so I might be able to squeeze through with a win without starting a QB at all. But at 1-3 and facing a league of esteemed fantasy experts, I have to ensure I get a win. What to do?

You read my mind. I just traded Cooper for Bryant last week.

  • Nathan Kline

Looking to do the same thing. Traded Keenan Allen/Danny Woodhead/Jimmy Graham for Julio Jones/Lamar Miller/Sammy Watkins. Guy is 1-3 because both Lamar and Sammy not performing up to par. Now I need Maclin and Gurley to perform this week and I may be able to snake Nuk from a different owner who is very weak at QB.

I traded Abdullah for Dez 😉

I traded Arian Foster, Latavius Murray and Jordan Matthews for AP and Dez. Hoping to get on a run now to make the playoffs.
