Survey Says? – Week 7 FantasyFeud Plays

Alex Smith

Looking to broaden your DFS horizon? If so, you might want to give FantasyFeud a try. They offer multiple formats and a wide range of sports, but if you’re reading this, I’m willing to bet you’re most interested in football.

FantasyFeud has one of the more challenging salary cap games in the industry. If you used to play on DraftStreet, you’ll notice some similarities. You start a 10-man roster with a $100,000 cap in half-point PPR scoring. It’s a two-quarterback lineup and no kickers. Each week, I’m going to give you my optimized lineup.

If you want to get in on the action at FantasyFeud, I have great news for you. PFF Fantasy and FantasyFeud have teamed up to offer you an exclusive deal. Make an initial deposit and you’ll receive a 100% bonus on your money and a free entry to a $5.50 satellite tournament. There’s nothing better than free stuff. Here’s this week’s optimized cash game lineup:

FF Wk7

QB: Derek Carr

After a bit of a coming out part last week, Carr gets a strong matchup here against a Cards team that continues to yield points through the air to quarterbacks. On a cost per projected points basis, Carr is one of this week’s best plays at the quarterback positon.

QB: Alex Smith

While he’s unlikely to be a popular play this week, Smith really stands out in Mike Clay’s projections. Clay currently has Smith projected to score the seventh-most fantasy points among quarterbacks, so he’s an automatic play at his discounted price tag.

RB: Andre Ellington

All signs seem to be pointing to a big game out of Ellington this weekend. He’s beyond the injury that hampered him earlier in the season and is starting to hit his stride. Likewise, Ellington faces a Raiders defense that has struggled against the run this season.

RB: Matt Forte

With about as high of a floor as you’re going to find at the running back position, Forte is worth every cent of his Week 7 price tag. He’s an elite fantasy option, and you know that.

WR: Doug Baldwin

Twitter nearly broke last night when the Seahawks traded Percy Harvin to the Jets. There are obviously numerous implications from this trade, but most immediately it means an upgrade for Baldwin and Jermaine Kearse. Both have nice price tags this week, though I prefer Baldwin slightly more.

WR: Corey Fuller

Our bargain basement play of the week, Fuller isn’t seeing a high volume of targets even with Calvin Johnson banged up and/or sidelined. However, Fuller is a great bet to out-play his price tag, allowing us to spend liberally at running back in our flex spots.

TE: Jordan Reed

After missing essentially the entire season, Reed returned last week and caught eight balls on 11 targets for 92 yards. Expect him to be just as involved in the offense this week against a Titans team that has given up at least one touchdown pass to a tight end in each of their last three games.

DEF: Buffalo

The Vikings have yielded 14 sacks and 6 turnovers in the last two weeks. Need I say more?

FLEX: Branden Oliver

With over 300 total yards and three scores in his last two games, Oliver is the quintessential definition of the “hot hand.” We’re going to keep riding him this week. The matchup isn’t the most favorable, but the Chargers’ commitment to the run bodes positively for Oliver’s fantasy prospects.

FLEX: Marshawn Lynch

If they weren’t run-heavy enough as it was, the Seahawks getting rid of their best receiving option really seals the deal. Expect a ton of Lynch in this one, as Seattle will look to pound the rock early and often against a struggling Rams defense.
