forsaleWelcome to Snaps, Pace, and Stats, which takes a macro view of emerging trends in snap totals and no-huddle usage. This year I’ll be looking at individual players in a Friday column that’s free for non-subscribers and revolves around recommended DraftKings plays.

A fantasy-friendly Week 8 produced the second-highest average team score of the season (24.7 points), and Week 9 promises to be nothing like it. Vegas projects over/unders of no higher than 44.5 points for seven of the 13 games, and just two are more than 50 points. With five star-studded squads (and the Titans) on bye, we’ll need to dig deep to uncover fertile fantasy soil, so grab a shovel
