- According to ESPN, Baltimore Ravens DT Brandon Williams said he wants to improve his sack numbers next season. “I need to get my sacks up,” Williams said. “I need to get my pass-rushing up.”
- Williams has never recorded more than two sacks in a single season and in his four years in the NFL has only totaled five sacks. Williams has never finished higher than 43rd in pass-rush productivity. With only 16 total pressures on 300 pass rush snaps last season Williams ranked 45th among 68 defensive tackles with a PRP of 4.1, the worst of his career (PRP measures the amount of pressure created on a per-snap basis with weighting toward sacks).
- Over the last four seasons, Williams has primarily built his reputation on his run-stopping ability. Over the last three seasons, Williams has totaled 95 stops in run defense. His best run-stopping season came in 2015, when Williams had 36 run stops on 341 run snaps for a run-stop percentage of 10.6, which ranked ninth that season (stops constitute anything considered a “loss” for the offense).
