- The Las Vegas Review-Journal believes that Oakland Raiders guard Gabe Jackson could be next to receive an extension from the team. Jackson has been a starter for the Raiders since entering the league in 2014 racking up 3,110 total snaps in his first three seasons.
- Jackson has graded in the top-30 at his position in each of his first three seasons including earning an 81.1 overall grade in 2016 that ranked 22nd out of 72 eligible guards. In 2015, Jackson earned a career high 84.2 overall grade and ranked 12th among eligible guards.
- Jackson has been very effective in pass protection ranking in the top-15 in pass-blocking efficiency in each season as a pro. In 2016 his pass-blocking efficiency of 97.0 ranked 14th. Since entering the league Jackson has allowed the second-fewest sacks among guards that have been in pass pro for at least 750 snaps (2 sacks allowed on 1,806 pass-block snaps).
