Jonathan Jones working with first team in OTAs

  • New England Patriots CB Jonathan Jones reportedly worked as the first-team nickel cornerback on OTAs, according to ESPN’s Mike Reiss.
  • A key contributor on special teams in 2016, he played only 64 snaps on defense last season, 32 of which came in weeks 14-16.
  • Jones was in the slot for 33 snaps last year, allowing 3 receptions on 6 targets. He allowed a 62.5 QB rating when targeted in the slot.
  • On an admittedly small sample size, Jones allowed a reception once every 11.0 coverage snaps in the slot.
