Play Baylor’s Corey Coleman on FanDuel

Last week was my best week yet.

Even with quarterback Vernon Adams not playing, my injury fill-in — literally Adams’ backup at Oregon — did well. Jeff Lockie wasn’t Marcus Mariota, but his 228 yards and two passing touchdowns were sufficient, especially since the $1,600 in salary savings that he provided (compared to Adams) would have allowed us to upgrade at other positions.

But, frankly, it would’ve been hard to find upgrades on the running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends I suggested. My running back tandem of D’Andre Ferby of Western Kentucky and Patrick Skov of Georgia Tech combined for 124 yards and three TDs rushing — as well as three receptions for 45 yards and two more TDs. In total, getting 169 scrimmage yards, five all-purpose TDs, and three receptions from two RBs for only $11,200 is pretty good.

At wide receiver, Will Fuller of Notre Dame, Josh Reynolds of Texas A&M, and Keevan Lucas of Tulsa combined to accrue 14 receptions for 270 yards and five TDs. I spent $21,700 on the position, so I paid up — but I got what I paid for. At tight end I also paid up, spending $3,700 (the position’s highest salary) on Tyler Higbee of Western Kentucky, but I once again got what I paid for: 11 receptions for 109 yards and a TD.

Honestly, last week, I killed it — which means that my advice in this piece is destined to be horrible.

You’ve been warned.

Great list. You and I are both (hopefully) going to be celebrating after the early games Saturday. Love my BGSU stack, but think any TCU/TT stack will be profitable this week.
