PFF Preview: Titans @ Colts, Week 4

2014-Prev-WK04-TEN@INDThe 1-2 Tennessee Titans and 1-2 Indianapolis Colts find themselves in a pivotal AFC South matchup in Indianapolis on Sunday. The Titans have dropped two straight after opening the season with a win in Kansas City. The Colts notched their first win of the season last week against Jacksonville after two close losses to start the season.

Coming in with the seventh-best overall grade for a quarterback so far this season (+3.4), Andrew Luck will look to have success against a shaky Titans’ secondary. He has connected on 7-of-12 deep throws and his 66.7% deep Accuracy Percentage is tied for the top spot.

Jason McCourty leads the Titan secondary, but has unproven cornerbacks behind him. Coty Sensabaugh has played well so far with a +1.8 overall grade but he’s also allowed eight completions on 11 throws into his coverage. Blidi Wreh-Wilson has struggled and his -8.1 overall grade currently ranks 95th out of 96 cornerbacks. Rookie Marqueston Huff has only seen seven snaps but may get an opportunity to see the field on Sunday.

Here are a few other names to look for:

Tennessee Titans

Delanie Walker – Walker is currently PFF’s top tight end with a grade of +6.8 on the strength of some stellar run blocking (+4.2).

Karl Klug – Klug’s +3.9 pass rush grade ranks him ninth at his position and his 8.3 Pass Rushing Productivity ranks 10th.

Derrick Morgan – Out of all 3-4 edge rushers, Morgan trails only Chandler Jones and Julius Peppers with a +5.7 pass rush grade and, as a bonus, he currently has a +1.3 coverage grade.

Indianapolis Colts

Ahmad Bradshaw – His +3.7 overall grade ranks third out of all running backs and his 1.97 Yards Per Route Run ranks third as well.

Anthony Castonzo – Castonzo has only allowed four hurries and his 97.9 Pass Blocking Efficiency ranks fifth among all tackles.

Cory Redding – Redding’s +4.3 pass rush grade ranks fifth out of all 3-4 ends and his overall +5.0 grade ranks him seventh.
