No better time than now to sell high on Chris Ivory

Trying to decipher whether or not to sell Martavis Bryant the week after he goes off for 137 yards and two touchdowns with Landry Jones as his quarterback can be a chore.

Nobody likes to sell a stock when its price is through the roof, because they don’t want to be the goof that sold off Josh Gordon when he went on his hot streak in 2013 where he put up nearly 1,700 yards and nine touchdowns in 14 games.

But here’s the thing, those types of players are a one-off situation. There may be one or two players a year that come along like that, and Devonta Freeman is the one that comes to mind in 2015.

Did you see Antonio Brown falling down to a WR2 in the Steelers offense? I didn’t think so. There aren’t many offenses in the NFL that can support the top fantasy running back and wide receiver, let alone another top 10 wide receiver.

One of my best friends has both Brown and Bryant on his team, so I thought I would check his pulse on Brown to see if I could buy while everyone is high on Bryant. He was smarter than I thought. He countered by offering me Bryant. I laughed and told him that someone else will pay more than I will, so go and seek a trade.

While it didn’t work for me, you should go to the Brown owner in your league and see where he is at with everything. Who knows, you may be able to get Brown for the cost of a WR2 if you sell high on someone else, like Bryant.

Here in my weekly article, I tell you the players to target in trades while others are afraid to. They are busy trying to buy the overpriced ones. Let’s start by talking about players you should be buying right now.

Would you trade AJ Green and Dion Lewis for Antonio Brown in a full PPR league?

RBs: AP, Lacy, Lewis, Christine Michael, Melvin Gordon

WRs: AJ Green, Alshon Jeffery, Brandin Cooks, Golden Tate, Brandon Lafell, Davante Adams

Personally I would do that trade. The Bengals just seem to have too many weapons to give AJ Green the normal WR1 he deserves. Gio Bernard is doing well, Jeremy Hill will start getting more touches, Eifert is back from injury this year, and Marvin Jones is emerging.

I like Lewis and wouldn’t want to get rid of him, but Brown is just too good and very consistent when Big Ben is his QB.

Why? In a full PPR, Dion Lewis is like having a WR in a RB slot! I wouldn’t do it..

AP is disappointing this year, as is lacy.. Lewis might be the best thing you have for RB.

Would you trade Brandon Marshall for Chris Ivory .5 PPR?

    • Trip Lawrence

      Keep Marshall..
