The Training Table - Injury Notes for Week 6
Week 5 continued with injuries that will result in immediate loss as well as injuries that will affect teams for the rest of the season. After trading offensive lineman Eugene Monroe last week to the Ravens, the Jaguars lost Luke Joeckel with a fractured ankle for the rest of the season. Michael Vick also went down with a hamstring injury that may force him out for Week 6. Josh Freeman hit the open market just in time for the Bills to lose EJ Manuel and the Browns to lose Brian Hoyer in the same game on Thursday night football. How will these injuries effect the NFL landscape for Week 6?
Another Week shows us why injuries are the rule and durability is the exception to the rule in football. In the Training Table, I will be providing you with recent news and notes as it pertains to injuries all season here at PFF Fantasy.
No new injury news to report at this time
Roddy White — Wide Receiver
Injury Date: August 15, 2013 — Ankle Injury, Hamstring
Fantasy Prognosis: White had an early exit in the Monday Night Football game versus the Jets with a hamstring strain. The severity is unknown at this point, but the potential loss of Julio Jones could mean that White tries to push through this injury if possible. Atlanta has a Week 6 bye which should give White time to heal before the Falcons Week 7 matchup with Tampa Bay.
Akeem Dent — Linebacker
Injury Date: August 15, 2013 — Ankle Injury
Fantasy Prognosis: Dent missed the Falcons Monday Night Football game with the New York Jets. He has time to heal with the Falcons on a bye in Week 6.
