Stream Joe Flacco for Week 8 upside
If you wanted evidence of the value of streaming, look no further than Washington quarterback Kirk Cousins’ performance against the Buccaneers. Having passed for one touchdown each of the first six weeks of the season, and throwing multiple interceptions in four games, Cousins completed 82.5 percent of his passing attempts and shredded the Buccaneers for 317 yards and three scores. He even ran for a 15-yard touchdown, finishing as the number one fantasy quarterback for the week.
But if you measured his PFF grade, it was +0.2 as a passer. For all intents and purposes, any living body could have played quarterback for Washington and found success. Tampa Bay has the second-worst defensive score and the second-worst pass coverage rating. They scored a -9.0 in the latter category against Washington.
Cousins is still a bad quarterback. But put a bad quarterback up against one of the league’s worst defenses, and he might just surprise your opponent in fantasy football.
