- According to ESPN reporter Jamison Hensley, third-year Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Breshad Perriman had the most impressive offseason of any Ravens wide receiver. Perriman has a huge opportunity in front of him, as three of the Ravens’ four target leaders (Steve Smith Sr., Kamar Aiken, and Dennis Pitta) from the 2016 season no longer call Baltimore home and leave behind a total of 264 targets.
- Between Smith, Aiken, and Pitta, there are 145 targets in the slot left behind. Newly signed receiver Jeremy Maclin figures to see the majority of those targets as he ran 47.4 percent of his routes from the slot last season, compared to just 12.0 percent of routes run from the slot for Perriman.
- Perriman ranked second on the Ravens in yards on deep passes (targets of 20 yards or more) with 164 yards on such targets. Steve Smith and Kamar Aiken leave behind 18 targets, 6 catches, 159 yards, and 2 touchdowns on deep passes, which Perriman figures to be the favorite to fill next to fellow receiver Mike Wallace.
