Tom Brady is NFL's top graded QB, still

  • Despite his team struggling to start the season, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is the NFL's top graded quarterback through five weeks with a grade of 91.1 overall. He was also the highest graded quarterback in 2016 and ranked second in 2015.
  • Brady, who is always adapting his game to defy odds has come out through five weeks throwing more deep passes by percentage than he has in any season during his career in the PFF era. Deep passes are throws targeting a receiver 20 or more yards downfield and on those throws Brady has a passer rating of 132.6 which ranks third in the NFL. He also leads the league in yards on deep throws with 469.
  • While passing under pressure, Brady has carved up defenses throwing for a passer rating of 118.0, which ranks second. He also leads the league in yards in this category as well.
