- Mike Klis reports, Denver Broncos safety T.J. Ward has returned to practice after missing the past two weeks with an injured hamstring. Ward has been a big part of the Broncos' success on defense over the past three years after signing with the team in 2013. Ward has been durable throughout his career, playing over 900 snaps in all but one of his seven seasons.
- Ward’s 2016 grade of 75.6 which ranked 48th out of 90 qualifiers has been the worst of his career thus far and is a steep outlier in comparison. Ward has been one of the most consistent safeties in the league since 2011, grading in the top-10 four of the past six seasons and top-20 in all but one.
- Despite his down year Ward continued to get pressure on the quarterback off of blitzes. In 2016, he led all safeties with 17 pressures and ranked third out of 32 qualifiers in pass-rush productivity at 28.3. In his three seasons with the team no safety has more total pressures than Ward’s 34.
