  • The Arizona Cardinals offense has struggled at times this season, and the receivers have been part of the issue, but J. Nelson has been a bright spot.
  • Carson Palmer’s 125.8 passer rating when targeting Nelson this year is double that when targeting Larry Fitzgerald (62.4), who has the next-highest rating among Cardinal receivers.
  • Overall, Nelson’s 2.91 yards per route run is sixth-best in the NFL for qualifying WRs, close to the likes of Antonio Brown (3.30), Julio Jones (3.11), and Mike Evans (3.10).
  • While Nelson had a blistering 4.8 40-yard dash at the NFL combine, he’s also been remarkably efficient from the slot, averaging 4.14 YPRR on his 14 routes in 2017, suggesting he may prove more than just a deep threat.
