Cardinals to work Reddick more as a pass-rusher

  • Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians has told Sirius XM NFL Radio that rookie Haason Reddick will get more pass-rushing snaps in the wake of edge-rusher Markus Golden’s season-ending injury.
  • Reddick has played 184 snaps for the Cardinals so far this season, with 150 of those snaps coming from either inside or middle linebacker. He's been somewhat absent from the Cardinals pass-rush though, rushing the QB just 25 times.
  • With Golden lost for the season with a torn ACL, Reddick is set to fill the void at left outside linebacker, a position he thrived in during his final season at Temple. In that final season, he logged 112 pass-rushing snaps from left side of the line and produced 29 quarterback pressures, for a pass-rush productivity (the PFF metric that measures pressure produced on a per-snap basis with weighting toward sacks) of 21.2, which ranked second among all draft eligible outside linebackers with at least 40 pass-rush snaps.
