  • According to Ian Rapoport, the Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson has decided to bench quarterback DeShone Kizer in favor of Kevin Hogan. After being selected in the second round of this year’s draft, Kizer won the Browns quarterback job coming out of camp.
  • Kizer was off to a very poor start in his rookie campaign, earning the lowest grade among 32 qualifying quarterbacks at 44.0 overall. Accuracy has been an issue for Kizer and is evident in his league-low adjusted completion percentage of 65.2 percent.
  • Passing under pressure has also been a big problem for Kizer who has produced the fourth lowest adjusted completion percentage at 54.3 percent and the third lowest passer rating at 37.8 while under pressure.
  • Kevin Hogan, who in limited snaps has fared much better thus far, will replace Kizer. Hogan has earned an overall grade of 74.3 on 67 snaps this year.
