- San Francisco 49ers WR Pierre Garçon put together a monster performance on Thursday Night Football, hauling in 7-of-10 targets for 142 yards on his way to earning an 88.1 overall grade.
- Garçon did most of his damage against Rams top cornerback Trumaine Johnson, where he collected 133 yards on five catches, including an excellent 59-yard grab down the left sideline late in the game that helped set the 49ers up with a touchdown that brought them within one score. Brian Hoyer had a 106.3 passer rating when targeting Garçon in Johnson’s coverage.
- The veteran free agent addition has been one of the 49ers few bright spots offensive through three games. Garçon’s 85.1 overall grade on the season currently ranks fifth among 108 qualifying wideouts. This comes on the heels of a standout 2016 season in which he was the eighth-highest graded wide receiver with an 87.2 overall grade that was the highest of his career.
