  • Let the debate begin for Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield’s next-level prospects. The Heisman contender is already a polarizing NFL prospect as he lacks NFL size and he has a unique style, but he’s been productive no matter which way you break him down. Mayfield’s latest was a strong performance against Ohio State as he completed 28-of-37 for 394 yards and three touchdowns. Mayfield posted a gaudy adjusted completion percentage of 91.2 percent against the Buckeyes.
  • Last season, Mayfield led all draft-eligible quarterbacks with an adjusted completion percentage of 79.8 percent and his 92.6 percent mark is currently tops in the nation. When under pressure this season, he’s 7-for-10 for 100 yards and a touchdown, with two of his incompletions being dropped and the other a throwaway (adjusted completion percentage of 100.0 percent under pressure).
  • Mayfield’s style will bring questions for the next level, particularly his penchant for extending plays. This will sometimes get him into trouble as we’ve already charged him with two sacks while he’s also invited three other pressures that were on him rather than the offensive line. Still, that’s the trade-off for a quarterback who has excelled at extending plays and making big plays outside of structure.
