IDP Consensus Rankings Analysis - Week 2
In the “what else is new” department of NFL news, there was another passing record set in Week 1. Between every team, there were 63 touchdowns through the air, more than any week in NFL history. What does this mean for fantasy owners? On the offensive side, those who are in PPR leagues and heavily invested in receivers and pass catching running backs are very pleased. Defensively, while yards allowed are at an all-time high, there are also more opportunities than ever before for splash plays on defense. More pass plays means more chances for sacks, and a higher probability of turnovers.
While it is difficult to project which players will be seizing their chance to make big plays on defense, there is little dispute that it is there for the taking. Heading into Week 2, our Ross Miles, Jeff Ratcliffe, and Nate Hodges unveiled their rankings for the best players based on the player’s ability, match ups, and other pertinent factors. In this piece, I’ll dissect these rankings and see which players are underrated, overrated, or disagreed upon by the three.
