Gaming the Game: Week 1 DFS Strategy

shane vereenWeek 1 is upon us. All our season long drafts are done and we're ready to watch some meaningful football. I am anyway. Everyone loves drafting. It's the best day(s) of the year for some of us. The late rounds are my favorite. Finding the diamond in the rough is the challenge that wins leagues. The high upside fliers du jour seem to be Travis Kelce, Ladarius Green, Brandin Cooks, Carlos Hyde, Khiry Robinson, Latavius Murray, Sammy Watkins, and Justin Hunter to name a few. You're excited to leave your draft with them aren't you?

The brain is a funny thing, because it takes that excitement about these “sleeper” picks and carries it from your seasonal league over where it has no business being–your DFS lineups. We see the great value price tag attached to some of these players we really like and it compounds. Before you know it you have a really high upside DSF lineup…maybe for week 7.
