Trade value chart, Week 7: Trading while the waiver wire is dry

We're exactly halfway through the fantasy football regular season. With injuries piling up, waiver wires are thinning out, and trades might be your last recourse at this point.

That means you've come to the right place. Below is the full trade value chart and a few of the week’s biggest risers and fallers.

The trade value chart uses our rest-of-season projections to assign values to every relevant player. The dollar amounts assume a 12-team league and a starting lineup of 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, and 1 Flex. The players are displayed in order of their standard league values, but we’ve included the PPR values for those players as well.

This week’s biggest faller was Ezekiel Elliott. He should play in Weeks 7 and 8, but then he might serve his six-game suspension immediately after that. Or maybe he’ll play the whole year. It’s a big question mark at this point, but Elliott still has value, especially if your team got off to a hot start and you like the prospect of having Elliott ride in to save the day if you make it to the playoffs.

Jerick McKinnon was one of the biggest risers of the week after he posted yet another strong finish in Dalvin Cook’s absence. McKinnon isn’t a workhorse — he has 32 attempts over the past two weeks, versus Latavius Murray’s 27 attempts — but he’s been deadly efficiency with those touches and will continue to be Minnesota’s primary weapon out out the backfield. You can approach McKinnon as a strong RB2.

Adrian Peterson saw his value jump in a major way this week after he turned back the clock in Week 6. A possible David Johnson return still looms, which would make Peterson all but irrelevant, but until then at least, Peterson should be viewed as an every-week starter in Arizona’s offense. He won’t have 100-plus rushing yards every week like he did way back when, but I’d be trying to buy his Week 6 performance at his Week 1-5 price. The Peterson owner in your league (if there even is one) might still be wary of him after the rough start.

Ty Montgomery, Jordy Nelson, and Davante Adams were three of the four biggest fallers on the chart this week. Randall Cobb wasn’t far behind as the sixth-largest faller. Aaron Rodgers’ injury is a death knell to this Green Bay offense from a fantasy perspective, and I’d be looking to sell these premium names before their actual value is realized.
