In each column, we start our weekly breakdown by looking at the optimal daily fantasy stacks we suggested the week before. In Week 8, we got back on the winning side of the scoreboard. If you played the Derek Carr and Amari Cooper stack we highlighted first, as a play on both DraftKings and FanDuel, then pat yourself on the back. As long as you were active in checking the injury news and swapped out Ty Montgomery for Jeff Janis, the Packers’ stack we played on Yahoo! crushed it, with Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams carried the way. Our final stack — Matt Ryan and Julio Jones — didn’t go as planned. But you probably didn’t fall too far behind after a strong game from Ryan.
Now let’s jump in and check out the top Week 9 stacks.
FanDuel
Ben Roethlisberger, QB; Sammie Coates, WR (Steelers vs. Ravens)
All signs point to Roethlisberger suiting up for this matchup after he passed the major hurdle and practiced Thursday. During Thursday’s practice, offensive coordinator Todd Haley went as far as to say Roethlisberger “looked good” in practice. Roethlisberger really is the modern warrior, but even a less-than-100-percent-healthy version of the quarterback is a high-upside play against a Ravens pass defense that hasn’t shown the ability to slow down anyone.
