We’re into the dog days of training camp, which means fantasy draft season is heating up along with the August sun. So, today we are looking at the top available option to target in each round of a 12-team standard league draft. Point blank, just the single best fantasy target out of the 12 available.
The players listed in each round below are sorted by current ADP consensus data from FantasyPros. The aim here is to help you fine-tune your draft board with a target to earmark in each round, and perhaps even identify a sweet spot for those who have the choice of starting draft position. One final disclosure: I went into this with no preconceptions, but rather, I let our research and rankings guide my selections. You won't want to follow this list to the letter, necessarily — you'd end up with only two running backs, for example, even if they are elite ones — but use this as a starting point and adjust as needed and you'll be off to a nice head start.
Let’s get right to it.
