For dynasty leaguers, the NFL playoffs take a back seat to the pending offseason. From cut day to the start of free agency and the NFL draft, the offseason is half the battle and the players below figure to be heavily involved. From good values to overpriced commodities, be sure to move on these players (one way or another) before it’s too late.
Ryan Tannehill, QB, Miami Dolphins
This season was widely considered a make-or-break year for Tannehill. Not only was it his fifth year in the league but Miami brought in Bears offensive coordinator Adam Gase to be the head coach. Gase had a good record with quarterbacks, coaching Peyton Manning to a career year (which isn’t easy considering how many great seasons Manning put together). He also coached Jay Cutler for one season in 2015, leading Cutler to a career-high in yards per attempt while throwing his fewest interceptions in five years. Gase’s track record was solid and, the thinking went, if Tannehill couldn’t succeed with Gase, he probably never would.
