As the Falcons travel to the Superdome, they hope to keep their perfect record unblemished. Hungry for a win, however, the 1-4 New Orleans Saints are desperate to maintain relevance in the NFC South.
To get you ready for Thursday Night Football, the PFF team dove into our newly released 2015 Player Grades tool. Here, we are able to view tonight's player matchups, position grades and rankings for all players, as well as other data to take your understanding of this division battle to the next level.
Tonight's lineups for Atlanta and New Orleans are as pictured below.
Notice a 1–100 grade associated with each player on the field. This is their overall grade for the 2015 season.
The matchup of Julio Jones, PFF's top-graded wide receiver this season, immediately jumps out. As you can see, Jones owns a 95.8 grade on the year—the Saints' two cornerbacks out wide, Brandon Browner and Delvin Breaux, have earned grades of 28.7 and 83.7, respectively.
Will Breaux, the 10th ranked cornerback in the league, be assigned to contain Jones? Or will Jones, who is listed as probable after suffering a hamstring injury, have a feast of a game against Browner, the 164th-ranked CB so far this season?
