- Virginia linebacker Micah Kiser lit up the stat sheet against UConn, finishing with 10 solo tackles (nine stops), three sacks, one QB hit and a hurry. It’s the kind of game we’ve come to expect from Kiser who now has a career line of 22 sacks, 11 QB hits and 36 hurries on only 257 rushes.
- Last season, Kiser posted the 15th-highest percentage of positively-graded plays against the run among draft-eligible linebackers, and he was active against UConn with his best effort of the season.
- There are still questions to Kiser’s game, namely his negative plays against the run, five missed tackles in the early going in 2017, and some questionable plays in coverage, but he is a playmaker capable of moving up draft boards if he can cut down on some of those negatives. Kiser’s 15 stops on the season are tied for 10th in the nation through three weeks.
