2018 Prospect Preview: Dalton Risner paves the way for Kansas State's ground game

  • Kansas State offensive tackle Dalton Risner, a two-year starter with the Wildcats, paved the way his running backs last season, as he ranked No. 9 among draft-eligible offensive tackles in run block success (94.8 percent).
  • Risner received the No. 2 overall grade (90.2) among returning Big-12 offensive tackles, falling just 0.9 grade points behind Texas’ Connor Williams. He also earned the No. 2 grades in run blocking and pass-protection.
  • While ranking No. 16 in the 2018 draft class in overall pass-blocking efficiency, Risner struggled against bully-type edge rushers. He ranked No. 102 among draft-eligible offensive tackles in snaps taken per bull rush pressure allowed.
