Quarterback grade: Jake Browning, 64.1
Browning posts lowest grade since Week 1 in win
This was a decidedly average game from Browning amid a phenomenal season. He only attempted 20 passes on the day and two of them were throwaways. He missed on all three of his attempts more than 20 yards downfield, and had a couple of very poor passes. His interception was an example of such a pass, just a forced throw without seeing the defender sitting right there.

Rushing attack carries the load, runs Huskies to victory
While Browning didn’t have a phenomenal game like he has in the past, the run game came up huge for Washington. Specifically, HB Myles Gaskin. It took him just 19 carries to reach 151 yards and a touchdown, forcing two missed tackles. Backup HB Lavon Coleman also chipped in in a big way, contributing 60 yards on eight carries. The big fellas up front certainly paved the way for them, as they averaged close to 4.1 yards before contact per carry.

Secondary comes up big at key moments for Washington defense
It was a great day for the secondary, as they held Utah’s passing offense to just 162 yards on 14-of-29 passing. They were led by CB Kevin King, who gave up just three catches on seven targets for a mere 19 yards and had a pass defense. S Budda Baker was thrown at three times and didn’t allow a single completion, while also breaking up a pass. The Huskies defense had five pass defenses combined.

Quarterback grade: Troy Williams, 63.6
Williams and Utah passing offense can’t get anything going against Washington
For most of the night Washington was content to sit back and let Williams try to beat them with his arm. He tried to make them pay for it, but was unable to get anything going. He really struggled on deep balls, completing just 3-of-10 for 74 yards on passes more than 20 yards downfield. He was the victim of a couple drops, but was also inaccurate at times even on the easy stuff. He was just 2-of-7 for 12 yards on passes under ten yards to the middle of the field.

Joe Williams continues is incredible un-retirement run
It’s crazy to think that Williams had retired for a month until a few weeks ago when Utah asked him to come back due to injuries. He continued his strong play by gaining 170 yards on 34 carries and forcing four missed tackles. More than 100 of those yards gained were after contact too. Since his return Williams has now rushed for 679 yards, forced 10 missed tackles and scored six touchdowns in just three games.

Hybrid defender Chase Hanson continues to be big time player for Utes defense
Chase Hanson is listed as a safety but he really plays all over the field, from slot receiver to linebacker. And he continues to succeed at whatever he does. He was big against the run in this game, beating his block frequently and disrupting the play. He had a big hit on the quarterback on one of his three pass rushes. And he had the great interception off of Browning when playing over-the-top safety.
