2015 NFL Playoffs IDP Rankings

456888405-e1387212616200It’s hard to believe that 17 weeks of NFL football have already wrapped up, and while it’s sad to see it go, all things must pass. The good news is that the playoffs are on the horizon, and that gives us another opportunity to play some fantasy football.

NFL playoff fantasy leagues have been increasing in popularity over the last few years. At only a quarter of the length of the regular season, these leagues are a great way for those who are jonesing to get one more fix of fantasy or a chance for redemption to rid that bad aftertaste of a losing season.

Like the regular season, our goal in playoff leagues is the same – to score the most points. However, the single-elimination nature of the playoffs makes achieving this goal much trickier.

The key here is to draft not just quality players, but quality players on teams that have the best chance to play multiple games and hopefully advance to the Super Bowl. Before you draft, I'd suggest mapping out how you think the playoffs will play out.

Here’s my breakdown for this year's playoffs:

Wild Card: CAR>ARZ, PIT>BLT, IND>CIN, DAL>DET

Divisional: NE>IND, DEN>PIT, SEA>CAR, GB>DAL

Championship: NE>DEN , SEA>GB

Based on these projected outcomes, I used the PFF Fantasy IDP scoring system and ranked out the Top 35 players at each position for the playoffs. You'll notice that some of the bigger names are ranked behind marginal fantasy options. Remember, you're shooting for more points, so one-and-done players won't do you as much good as players who see three or even four games.
