Each week I’ll comb through the options at each position to bring you my picks for the players with the best combination of safety and upside over a wide price range. These are guys you’ll use in cash games for the most part, but there’s nothing wrong with slotting a couple into your tournament lineups as well for stability.
Quarterback
Andy Dalton $5700: DraftKings hasn't raised Dalton’s price despite his firm standing as the third best fantasy quarterback so far with an average of over 24 DK points per game, a 9:1 TD: INT ratio and a league best 0.73 PPDB. The matchup with Seattle might turn some folks off, but this isn’t the same Seattle defense as the past 2-3 years, and is on the road this weekend.
The Seahawks have allowed opposing quarterbacks 19.5 fpts on the road and 5.5 fpts in Seattle. With so many weapons this year, Dalton is able to be a far more effective player. I wouldn’t necessarily stack Dalton with any one of his pass catchers (A.J. Green, Giovanni Bernard, or Tyler Eifert are the primaries) because I do expect Seattle to force him to spread it around.
