Lions: Quin is peaking at the right time

PFF-headlinesThe signing of safety Glover Quin by the Detroit Lions has proven to be one of the better moves fromthe 2013 free agency period. Quin impressed in his first season in Detroit, recorded three interceptions on his way to an overall grade of +7.6, tenth-best among all safeties,. He also lead all qualifying safeties by limiting opposing quarterbacks to a passer rating of only 30.7 when throwing into his coverage.

Quin has taken a significant step forward this season. His +17.5 overall grade is currently the second-best mark among safeties, while he shares the league in pass coverage with a +12.9 grade coverage. Quin has also proven to be a relatively sure tackler in space, his 17.8 Combined Tackling Efficiency ranks sixth out of 64 safeties.
