IDP Lineup Decisions – Week 5

OSI-UMENYIORAIn this weekly column I’ll highlight some top IDP options that aren’t always “must-start” players. I’ll also hit on some of the players most likely to disappoint in week 4.

Here’s complete season and weekly projections that can be customized to your league’s scoring for all those tough start/sit calls. For specific questions you can always ask me via twitter @NateNFL.

Defensive Line

Osi Umenyiora DE1 vs NYJ

The Jets offense could be a mess this week as they face off with an Atlanta team that needs a win badly. Geno Smith will be without his top two wide receiver options Santonio Holmes and Stephen Hill. Osi Umenyiora projects as a top five play in a game where he should post at least a sack with the potential for much much more.

Marcell Dareus DT1 vs CLE

Dareus is a mid level DL2 when looking at the entire season. This week however, he projects as the top defensive tackle and a top 10 option even in general defensive line formats. We’ll get to see if Dareus in action early in the week on Thursday Night Football versus the Browns.
