Fantasy starts and sits for Week 10

Hopefully you utilized some suggested starters from last week and escaped the dreaded bye week blues with another victory. Thankfully the byes are almost behind us, but the four clubs off this week do have their share of key fantasy contributors.

With the Atlanta Falcons, Indianapolis Colts, San Diego Chargers and San Francisco 49ers on bye, some quality starters won’t be available the week. Many fantasy owners will be looking to their bench to fill those spots, and knowing which secondary players to start can help secure another win in Week 10.

Here are some players that have quality matchups, or are in position to exceed their value this week and could be worth a start, and other players who might be better off left on your bench.

Kirk Cousins, Redskins (vs. New Orleans) – Kirk Cousins has been a steady producer, but has lacked that huge, blow-off fantasy performance. If recent history is any indicator, that game could come this week when Washington hosts New Orleans. While the Saints are proven fantasy point producers, their 27th ranked pass rush and 30th ranked pass coverage units assure that the opposition scores plenty as well. The last time Cousins was at home against a bottom-5 secondary, he hit up the Bucs for 317 yards and three scores- and that was without WR DeSean Jackson in the lineup. Cousins has over 13 fantasy points in every start this year, so the floor isn’t too low, but the upside in this matchup makes him a sneaky streaming play and a nice DFS value.
