Start Marshall, sit Tate in Week 3

With two weeks’ worth of action in the books, we’re starting to get more of a feel for how the remainder of the 2015 fantasy season will play out. Unfortunately, that feeling is largely one of uncertainty as the injuries and unpredictable play seem to keep piling up.

The good news is that we can move forward now with more data. After a couple of games for each team, strengths and weaknesses are becoming more apparent and fantasy football fans can take advantage of those tendencies.

With that data in mind, here are some players that find themselves in favorable, or unfavorable situations for Week 3 of the 2015 NFL season.

Ryan Tannehill, QB Dolphins (vs. Buffalo) – Rex Ryan’s defense has a well-deserved fearsome reputation, but so far that esteem hasn’t rubbed off on the Bills’ secondary. After two weeks, the Bills are ranked 31st in the league, surrendering 28.5 fantasy points-per-game. As teams have tried to avoid Buffalo’s strong defensive front, they’ve attempted an NFL-high 108 pass attempts, and the 64 completions and 709 yards both rank as the second most on the league.

Look for Tannehill and the Dolphins to take a similar tactic this week- a pass heavy scheme designed to downplay Buffalo’s biggest asset. The questionable status of RB Lamar Miller (ankle) further hints that Tannehill may be in store for a season-high number of pass attempts in Week 3, making him a quality fantasy start at home.
