Welcome back to the PFF Fantasy Roundtable. This week, I’m joined by @JeffRatcliffe, @Pat_Thorman and @BrandonherFFB. Check them (and me) out on Twitter to continue the discussion. We’re changing up the theme this week, and it’s a bit of a surprise, so let’s jump right in.

What’s your auction strategy?

Dan: The preseason is underway and it’s prime draft season. We’ve talked a lot about ADP and various strategies as they related to snake drafts. This week we’re flipping the script. We’re going to talk about my favorite format — auction drafts. Let’s start by breaking down everyone’s auction budget strategy. Do you subscribe to the studs-and-duds or stars-and-scrubs strategy where you refuse to spend on your bench? Do you like to save your money, skip out on the early nominations, and pick off value in the middle and end of your auction? Do you have a hybrid strategy that you use every year? Does your strategy change year-to-year? Somebody kick us off.
