Steelers draft Conner, keeping him in Pittsburgh


  • With the 105th pick in the 2017 NFL draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers select running back James Conner.
  • Conner’s 88 broken tackles in 2014 are the second-most in a single season out of the past three years, behind only Dalvin Cook’s 92 in 2016.
  • His 2015 season was derailed by a torn MCL in the season opener, and a Hodgkin’s lymphoma diagnosis later in the season before he could return to the field.
  • Scheme diverse and possesses good vision, as well as balance through contact.
