Big Night for PFF Fantasy at 2014 FSTA Banquet

20140116_213231Six members of the Pro Football Focus Fantasy staff were in attendance at the 2014 Fantasy Sports Trade Association (FSTA) Awards Banquet in Las Vegas on Thursday.

They weren’t there for show.

The PFF Fantasy staff took home five awards, which put them right there with the top sites in the industry. Only Rotowire.com took home more FSWA awards (four) than PFF Fantasy (three), but no football-only site took home more than one award. The winners were as follows:

  • FSTA Preseason Ranking Accuracy – First Place – Mike Clay (Click here for a full recap)
  • FantasyPros Weekly Ranking Accuracy – Second Place – Mike Clay (Click here for more details on the contest)
  • FSWA Article of the Year – Online – Mike Clay
  • FSWA Article of the Year – Print – Alessandro Miglio
  • FSWA Newcomer of the Year – Patrick Thorman

Jeff Ratcliffe was also a finalist for Print Article of the Year and was FantasyPros’ most-accurate IDP ranker for the second consecutive season. PFF Fantasy Gold was a finalist for a pair of FSTA awards, including Most Valuable Fantasy Tool and Most Valuable Fantasy Content.

It was also announced (via web) that Clay finished No. 3 overall in the Fantasy Index Experts Poll and No. 15 overall in The Fantasy Index Open

Photos from the FSTA event can be viewed here.

Thanks to the FSTA and FSWA for all their hard work in making this yet another successful fantasy season.
