2014 Free Agency Contest

2014-FA-ContestThe NFL’s 2014 Free Agency period is here and that means it’s time for our annual free agency competition and another chance for you to win a free one-year subscription to the PFF Premium section (or a free renewal if you’re already a member). All you need to do be the best at correctly guessing where our Top 75 free agents will end up.

The rules are simple: copy the list below, fill in where every player will land, and email it back to [email protected]. Ideally copy the list into excel, compile your picks and submit it to Gordon with an excel document, but if you can’t use excel you can still submit your picks.

If it turns out you’ve beaten the PFF staff’s submissions and all other entrants by predicting the proper 2014 homes for the most free agents, you’ll have earned yourself a free PFF pass for a full year (in the event of a tie, up to three memberships will be handed out with preference to those who had their answers in quickest).

Good luck and let the games begin!

● All entries must have been submitted by 11:59PM ET on Monday, March 10th – We are no longer accepting entries.

● Contest will end at 11:59PM ET on Monday, March 31st.

● Any players signing before the contest’s starting deadline will not count toward the final score. This includes all Restricted Free Agents, and the likes of Michael Bennett and Sam Shields who have already re-signed with their current teams.

● Even if you don’t think a player will sign with a new team, it is in your best interest to guess a team anyway. We will only be looking at the players who have signed by April 1st to determine how many correct entries you have.

As a Raiders fan, this is the dumbest thing on free agency I’ve seen thus far this off-season. The majority of you think the Raiders only resign Valdheer, Simms, and Jennings. 3 of you don’t think we keep Simms and Jennings? Get outta town. Three of you think the Raiders sign 2 runningbacks. Why the hell would they waste money on another RB when they’re gonna have Murray and Sheets, as backups, 2 guys they have high hopes for, and Jennings 1st string. Don’t you think Reggie McKenzie understands that theres wiser places to spend money? Two of you think the Cowboys sign Hatcher and Melton, two big-money defensive tackles, while they are over the cap. Hakeen Nicks to Oakland? When Mark Davis has basically stated publically that they have no interest in a WR because they have so many other holes to fill? Then theres guys like Gordon who think the Raiders sign only 2 players in free agency, including their own? Are you serious? They won’t even meet the minimum cap requirements if they do that, cuz theres no way the other guys on the team that aren’t mentioned, will make the difference. A monkey could do better picking names out of a hat. I can literally throw darts at a board and it will be more accurate. I cant wait to look back at this post a few months from now and laugh at this article. I’m literally gonna go to the local zoo and have a monkey throw darts, and submit that contest entry, and rob this site of a free pass.

Well isn’t one of the main points of this exercise for you to see if you, the fan, can make better predictions? If you don’t agree with theirs, make one that you think is more accurate

  • Carl Carlton

Why does Steve think Godwin is heading back to SF? Little cap plus a pretty obvious

    extension in Kilgore is telling.

  • joey carr

Why would the chiefs take ryan clark, he can’t even play in denver? nathan has us signing schwartz and asamoah? gordan has everyone going to jacksonville? wow

  • Cameron Umbarger

Haha I’m not going to say that a couple of them are “cheating”, but putting that many free agents on the same team is somewhat of a cop out. It saves your behind, you won’t be completely wrong, but why not put what you actually think? They’re ranked top to bottom, so start at the top and find second best fits. I agree with an earlier comment about this, JAX pick for every other guy is a cop out.
