VIDEO: Falcons becoming legitimate NFC threat

Cris Collinsworth previews the Falcons-Cowboys matchup. With Matt Ryan, Julio Jones and an improved defense, there’s no reason not to peg Atlanta as Super Bowl 50 contenders.

They barely won there first two games. I would say philly and the Giants more-so lost then the Falcons won. They should have no problem with the Cowboys due to all there injuries but the road gets tougher. Carolina wins the division on the heels of that nasty defense and Cam newton.

The public tends to over-react to injuries. Just over a week ago Notre Dame was suppose to have no chance against Georgia Tech because of a key injury. All the money came down on the GT side and when the Irish won the sportsbooks smiled and raked in a nice profit. I see the same scenario happening in the NFL this week so go against the Cowboys at your own peril.

You’re forgetting that the Falcons have a pretty easy schedule, if they take the win against Dallas, I could easily see them going 7-1 or even 8-0 in the first half of the season. I think the Falcons are a stronger team than the Panthers so when they play at the end I think they can at least split the series and take the division.

7th ranked D? The Cowboys B team Defense had an easier time with the Eagles on the road than the Falcons did at their own house…
