Tyrod Taylor is an ideal Week 9 streamer

It was a good week for streaming quarterbacks, but it was better if you had Eli Manning or Drew Brees while their defenses were busy vying for recognition as the worst passing defense in the league (spoiler: New York is “winning” in a landslide). Their cumulative 861 passing yards and 13 touchdowns stole the show, but maybe it was more telling to see Aaron Rodgers fall short of 100 passing yards in a matchup of elites.

Rodgers' 77 passing yards are the fewest he’s thrown in a game in which he started and wasn’t injured. It was slightly more than half of the previous low — 142 yards against Minnesota in 2008. And while no one would advocate leaving Aaron Rodgers on your bench, the Broncos certainly made a convincing case.

Denver's defense, which has now established itself as arguably the best in the league, makes one wonder whether it’s worth streaming a quarterback in lieu of Andrew Luck, who faces Denver in Week 9, or Tom Brady in Week 12. The two best pass-rushing outside linebackers, Von Miller (+21.7) and Demarcus Ware (+17.0), and two top-five inside linebackers, Brandon Marshall (+8.3) and Danny Trevathan (+5.5), all play in the same menacing defense that’s allowed 16 points per game and scored four touchdowns of its own.

Would you buck conventional wisdom and bench your elite fantasy quarterback against Denver? This is one of those rare units that makes this a conversation worth having.
