Headaches. Week 15 was the second round of the playoffs for some leagues and the beginning of others. Contemplating the weather, injuries, starts/sits, sleepers, and lack of sleep in general leads to headaches. The loss of Wes Welker, Adrian Peterson, and Rob Gronkowski left owners with headaches.
Week 16 is a great week for owners who made it to their respective championships or continue their quest for the title. The week has a few question marks heading in namely Aaron Rodgers, Adrian Peterson, Larry Fitzgerald, and Victor Cruz. Good luck to all teams in Week 16.
Another Week shows us why injuries are the rule and durability is the exception to the rule in football. In the Training Table, I will be providing you with recent news and notes as it pertains to injuries all season here at PFF Fantasy.
Arizona Cardinals
Rashad Johnson — Safety
Injury Date: December 15, 2013 — Ankle Injury
Fantasy Prognosis: Johnson suffered a high ankle sprain and may miss the rest of the regular season. Tony Jefferson would likely get the start in Week 16 if Johnson is ruled out.
Larry Fitzgerald — Wide Receiver
Injury Date: December 15, 2013 — Concussion
Fantasy Prognosis: Positive news that Fitzgerald was cleared and able to go home. He still has a “long way to go” this week before being ready to play. He needs to pass the NFL concussion protocol to be available when the Cardinals meet the Seahawks in Week 16.
Andre Ellington — Running Back
Injury Date: December 15, 2013 — Thigh Injury
Fantasy Prognosis: Ellington was removed from the Week 15 game with a thigh bruise. He will likely be questionable for this weeks game against the Seattle Seahawks.
Carson Palmer — Quarterback
Injury Date: December 15, 2013 — Ankle Injury
Fantasy Prognosis: Palmer has a mild ankle sprain and will likely play in Week 16 against the Seahawks.
