StarStreet Pick 5 for Week 4

DezBryantOne of my favorite games over at StarStreet.com is their Pick 5, which you can play for free each week to win a ticket to other daily games or for money. The game is simple. There's five player vs. player matchups, and you pick who you think will score more that week. The best part is that you can play straight from our site by clicking here.

Here's this week's Pick 5:

Matt Ryan vs. Tony Romo

Matt Forte vs. LeSean McCoy

Demaryius Thomas vs. Julio Jones

DeSean Jackson vs. Pierre Garcon

Dez Bryant vs. Calvin Johnson

There's some pretty tough choices here, but here's my picks for Week 4:

Tony Romo @ San Diego

The Dallas Cowboys have had a very efficient passing game so far this season with Romo completing over 72% of his passes, but he has only 6.7 yards per completion. The Chargers pass defense is the worst in football giving up 341 yards per game and a whopping nine yards per attempt. Look for Tony Romo to have a big day. Matt Ryan will be able to put up a good line as well, but the Patriots passing defense is sixth in the NFL. Romo has the better matchup and will have the better day.

Matt Forte @ Detroit

It hard to pick against Eagles superstar LeSean McCoy, but the Broncos run defense has been great all season. It is a small sample size, but opponents have only ran for 130 yards on 57 attempts this season. Matt Forte has a much better matchup against a the Lions who are allowing 4,5 yards per carry this season. Not to mention Forte will catch at least four or five passes for the Bears, adding another dimension of fantasy scoring. It will be close, but Forte will have the better day.

Demaryius Thomas vs. Philadelphia

As mentioned before, the Patriots pass defense has performed well this season so far, and Julio Jones has been seeing a lot of double coverage with Roddy White not at full health. Demaryius Thomas is one of the best wide recievers in the NFL and he will be paired up with either Cary Williams or Bradley Fletcher. Thomas will have a mismatch all game long, and Peyton Manning will look to exploit it.

Pierre Garcon @ Oakland

Garcon has been fantasy gold so far this season, especially in PPR formats. Going against the Raiders will give him added value since Oakland's defense is allowing a 76,5 completion percentage. Expect the Redskins to lean on Garcon early and often, making him a much safer bet over the big-play-threat DeSean Jackson.

Dez Bryant @ San Diego

The last choice is the hardest, because picking against Calvin Johnson seems like an idiotic move. But you have to look at the matchups. No one on the Chargers defense can cover Dez Bryant, and the Cowboys will be throwing the ball his way a lot on Sunday. Calvin Johnson goes against the Chicago Bears, who will do everything in their power to contain Johnson. Charles Tillman is one of the best corners in the NFL, and will likely be shadowing Johnson all game long. Both Bryant and Johnson should have good games, but expect Bryant to come out on top this week.
