Redskins Cut Production on their Rambo Remake

PFF-headlinesIt's been a turbulent two years in Washington for 2013 sixth round pick Bacarri Rambo and at least for now it's come to an end after the team announced it's decision to release him.

Rambo was thrust into the starting lineup as a rookie but bench after two disastrous early season outings limited to spot duty the for the remainder of a year which saw him pick up 340 snaps and a -11.5 grade. Still the the team didn't give up on him and he returned to play significant snaps during the opening two weeks of the season, but poor performance once again blighted him as his 73 snaps saw him get beat for two touchdowns and earn a -3.2 grade.

Clearly with Brandon Meriweather now back from suspension and the team needed to make room for him this is a case of making room for a more talented player, but with Meriweather never more than a helmet shot away from missing more time it wouldn't be the biggest surprise if Rambo was to latch back on with Washington down the line.
