The Dallas Cowboys picked up their fifth-year option on RG Zack Martin, a 2014 first-round pick.

  • Martin was the highest-graded run-blocking guard in the NFL last season, and was the third-highest-graded guard overall.
  • Martin had the second-most run-blocking snaps of any guard last season, making him invaluable to the Cowboys offensive gameplan.
  • In 2014, Martin became the third offensive lineman in four years picked by the Cowboys in the first round, preceded by Travis Frederick and Tyron Smith, both of whom graded in the top 20 at their respective positions in 2016.
  • Before 2011, the last time the Cowboys drafted an OL in the first round was Howard Richards in 1981.
