- Per Adam Jahns, former Giants WR Victor Cruz is visiting with the Bears Monday and Tuesday.
- In his first season back from a knee injury that ended his 2014 season, Cruz finished 2016 with a 53.9 overall grade, the lowest of his career and lower than his rookie year where he did not record a reception.
- Overshadowed by Odell Beckham Jr. and Sterling Shepherd last year, Cruz managed only 1.25 yards per route run (YPRR), ranking 72nd of 95 wide receivers with at least 45 targets.
- In 2016, Cruz averaged 15 yards per reception, the second best tally of his career. His 5.0 yards after catch per reception was better than his YAC/rec from both 2012 and 2013, where he averaged a 78.6 grade across the two seasons.
