Johnny Manziel or Jared Goff in 2016?

As with nearly every offseason of late, the Cleveland Browns must address their quarterback position heading into the 2016 season. Do they stick with Johnny Manziel, or select Cal’s Jared Goff with the second-overall pick?

PFF’s Steve Palazzolo and Mike Renner break down this question.

No talent at the TE position? Gary Barnidge has such good hands he could catch a falling airliner, fix the engine issue, serve cocktails during the repair and have the plane back in the air to its destination… On time. No player improves his team more with his off field contributions ( charity work, community outreach, home field drainage improvement projects, etc) while providing as much on the field (catches everything, breaks triple teams, solves in-game headset communication system issues) to their team. This Mark Renner guy needs to get familiar with one Gary Barnidge.

If I were Goff and knew the Browns were going to select me I would stay in school another year.. Going to the Cleveland Browns is death. Paxton Lynch would be a better fit anyway..

That’s what kept Andrew Luck in school another year.
The risk of ending up on a terribly run team.

        The currently undefeated team?

        • McGeorge

Yes, they sucked several years ago.
Little did he know that the Colts would hire a bad GM as well.
I dont blame AL for not wanting to go to the Panthers in 2011.

I *LOVE* seeing the Browns draft a QB every 2-3 years, using a 1st round pick.
I hope the draft Goff to keep this streak going.

If Jared goes to the Browns and struggles how long will it take the critics to replace the first “f” in his name with an “o”?

Wrong, they should draft Laquon Treadwell with their first pick! Barnidge is a really good tight end. But he’s the only consistent impact player on offense they have! After Treadwell they can go to the third or fourth round to get another receiver!
