Brown – Steelers .. has to be one of the most impressive performances I’ve seen in years // ..Carr .. His older brother was a bust but Derrick Carr is the real deal ..Seems as he gets better every week .Pocket presence, arm strength and accuracy are good ..Unlike his brother he can read defenses .. He should be a top 5 NFL QB within a few years …And Amari Cooper is playing like a seasoned veteran …

Probably is already, at least according to PFF grades.

We know that where you go and who you are surrounded with impacts a QB more than probably any other position in any other sport. David Carr wasn’t a bust, he simply was drafted by a team without a plan and without any players surrounding him. Their very first pick was Tony Boselli, an All-Pro left tackle who was hurt and never played a single snap for the Texans. When you start your franchise by whiffing so badly on your first choice, you’re probably not going to be very successful. We’ve seen guys like Jim Plunkett, Steve Young, and Rich Gannon fail/be mediocre for one team and turn around and lead other teams to Super Bowls. Was Steve Young a bust when he was stinking it up for Tampa Bay or was his coaching staff and surrounding talent severely lacking? I’ll go with the latter. I wish we could have seen how David Carr could have done sitting behind a good quarterback and going in to play with a good team like Aaron Rogers did. I’m not saying David is Rogers, but he would have done a lot better, that’s for sure.
